She can't pretend life isn't what it seems,
As she's stuck in the shadows of broken dreams;
With the mind of the devil, and a heart of steel,
Shes got the thoughts of a genius, yet nothing to feel;
The world is in hand which she ruins with her fists,
A chain reaction occurs that not even she resists,
Moments of trial, life of despair,
While her mind is empty, her eyes blankly stare.
A child grasped her leg, with a smile and glow,
She felt the warmth, and glanced below,
A daughter, age three, hair tied to the side,
The attempt to love her was never once tried.
Not a problem to the girl as she picked up her doll,
Slightly unbalanced, she began to fall.
As she glanced down at her daughter,
Her feet walked away, she slowly forgot her.
